ONE OK ROCK will be shaking Asia again in 2016!

Two years have passed, and it’s high time Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK greeted their fans in Asia outside Japan again! In a tour christened ONE OK ROCK 2016 “35xxxv” ASIA TOUR, ONE OK ROCK will visit Hongkong, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore in January 2016. As for the Singapore leg, it will be held on January 23rd (Saturday) at Fort Canning Park, starting 8pm.

Having scored numerous hit songs and taken part in many music festivals and tours both at home and aboard, ONE OK ROCK hardly needs introduction. Recently, the band adds to their resume a record deal with music giant Warner Bros. Records, ensuring that their music is accessible by more fans all around the world. And they of course also want to reach out to fans through their live performances.

Singapore is no new land for ONE OK ROCK. It’s the first South East Asian country they visited back in 2012 for their Start Walking the World tour, when they performed in *SCAPE. Next, in 2013, they sold out a show in the island country as part of their Who are you??Who are we?? tour. They are now eager to make history again in Singapore!

The decision not to include several countries in the upcoming tour has upset some fans, though. Concerning this, Amuse Inc. Asia addresses this message to the fans:

We want to let the fans know that to make a tour happen in Asia in different countries takes a lot of logistical planning and various factors to work  to make it actually happen. And sometimes logistics and scheduling issues do not work out, causing the show not to happen in certain countries. Such issues prevented the show from going to countries like  the Philippines during the last tour. Unfortunately Indonesia, Malaysia, and South Korea, due to those factors, could not make the list this round.”

Amuse Inc. Asia continues in their Facebook post, “We understand Indonesia and Malaysia fans are disappointed, and for that, we have decided to keep the ticket price for the Singapore show fairly low, as much as we can, so that we can strongly encourage Indonesian and Malaysian fans to travel to Singapore to support OOR.

While there will be an extremely limited amount of VIP/Meet & Greet tickets made available for this show, the Singapore show overall will only have one single price category. This is to ensure all fairness to the fans, and to keep it as low as  possible for overseas fans also able to afford and enjoy the show.

If OOR were to ask during the show to all the fans, “Which countries are you from?” And Indonesian fans and Malaysian fans can to be there to show  them how passionate you all are,  it will make them try even harder to bring the show there next time.

We strongly encourage Indonesian and Malaysian fans and other neighbouring countries such as Vietnam, to plan and travel to Singapore to see the show in January.”

Ticket sales for ONE OK ROCK’s show in Singapore will start on September 26th, 2015 (Sat), so there is still time to plan your trip there (if you are coming from overseas!). Also let us know if you need tips about going to and watching a concert in Singapore – we’ll try to answer as best as we can! Keep checking for more updates, and good luck!
